FRASER RIVER

It’s a great time of the year for some excellent Sturgeon fishing in these high water conditions. Most angler’s think this is a time to stay off the river, we feel quite the opposite. This high water, which has been dropping about 2 inches or more since last week, opens up all kinds of new areas that Sturgeon like to feed in! These spots are mainly shallower areas but have worms, eels and other food travelling through. What better nice, calm area to be feeding up in. When you hook some of these giants in the 4 to 12 feet of water, they are more explosive than any other time of the year. Suggestions in the mid Fraser are: Cattermole’s, Minto Channel, Jesperson’s, Tunnels, Blueridge and Johnson Slough. Pick softer water for best results. Baits of choice would be eulachon, roe, ditch and lamprey eels.
Another great area for high water is the Fraser Canyon, from Hope to Yale. This is a magnificent stretch of river with huge back eddy’s holding big hungry fish. It is a little strange fishing backwards to the main flow of the river but most learn quick, this is where the food slows down so the fish can get at it. Some of our favorite spots are Gordon Creek, Emery Creek, the Little Eddy and the Big Eddy.
This is some of the best fishing of the year in the coming weeks and months. We use big, comfortable and safe jet boats with the best in fishing gear and premium baits. As leaders in Sturgeon conservation it is and has been our dedication to handle all fish with the best handling practices set out by our government. We will always put the fish first when scanning, measuring and tagging. This unique experience to learn about these fish hands on is fast becoming the reason why it is one of the most sought after “Big Game Thrills”.

SALMON

Salmon fishing has been slow due to water conditions in both the Fraser and Vedder/Chilliwack Rivers. With the rivers slowing, dropping we should see some good opportunity in the coming weeks! Suggestions are trolling spoons or bottom-fishing with spin & glo’s and roe at the Sumas River confluence. Bar fishing on the Fraser, from gravel bars or from the boat will also work. The fish are migrating through and it only takes one good bite and you’re on to a good fish! The peak of the Spring and early Summer Kings is only 2 weeks away. The Fraser opens for Chinook “King” Salmon on June 15th. We will be out chasing the “silver bars”.

REMOTE RIVER ADVENTURE

"One of the Fraser Valley's secrets"

This little gem of a local river can only be accessed by jetboat. The river is just around the corner from the best fishing of the year. May, June and July offers incredible Sea Run Dolly Varden and Bull Trout up to 14 pounds. These fish are very aggressive on the big swung articulated fly. We feel the bigger the better! This is another one of the Coastal B.C. waters best kept secrets that we know every angler should experience. Our team of Guides know these waters like no others do. Book early as these days go fast!

CHILLIWACK LAKE

This is a fantastic local fishery that is so under utilized. This Lake is glacier and hidden away just 40 minutes from Chilliwack! Large Bull Trout and Dolly Varden cruise the depths and can grow over 20 pounds. Many Rainbow and Cutthroat up to 5 pounds and masses of Kokanee the land locked Sockeye Salmon.

Whether fly fishing, trolling with quick fish or bottom fishing roe, this Lake offers excellent angling. If you are looking to relax in one of the most scenic places in the Fraser Valley, this trip is for you. We encourage catch and release on this precious Lake.

COLUMBIA RIVER

Uncrowded Paradise awaits you!

This big river is now producing very well on the dry fly. From now through September if you’re looking to see 50 to 75 big wild Rainbows porpoise in back eddy’s while you sight cast to them, this is the river for you. An experience you will not soon forget. Our professional caster and guide Bruce Kruk is amazing when it comes to personal service and instructionals. If you dream of hooking up on some of the biggest wild Rainbows in North America, call to book your adventure today.

LILLOOET RIVER

We have just finished closing our camp facility on the river for this season. Our guests had a wonderful time in this remarkable pristine valley fly fishing for Wild Rainbows, Cutthroat and Char species and even some chances at Chinook (King) Salmon which lived up to there name for brute strength and unbelievable fighting ability. We will be running another camp next season in April 2009 to a very limited 6 anglers per group over a 1 month period.

This is a very incredible experience that every outdoorsman should not miss out on! Call or email today to book your adventure!

HARRISON RIVERHooked up on the fly

Prime time Cutthroat fishing in another glacier fed beautiful river. Epoxy minnows are the favorites for these nomadic fry chasing fish. Intermediate clear lines are a must for tracking these fish. Watch for bait fish “fry” going crazy on the surface because this is where all the fish are. There is something special about hunting these fish that most keen fly anglers really enjoy. Try a slight change up with wooly buggers, sparse muddler minnows and crystal flash fly’s. Come on out and enjoy our 360 degree office view!

INTERIOR LAKES Picture youself holding a fish like this on a scenic Interior Lake!

Stillwater Adventures are on right now!

Most lakes are fishing very well now with great reports from Hefly, Dragon, Roche, Tunkwa and Forrest.

April with a fabulous Rainbow

VEDDER/CHILLIWACK RIVER

This river is now in full freshet and is closed to fishing for the month of June. July 1st it re-opens for Chinook “King” Salmon opportunities. Some ask why this river closes during this time frame, reason being there are thousands of Steelhead smolts being

released in the river and we want as good as possible survival rate! This translates to hopes of a continued great Steelhead returns for the years to come.

Be by yourself in one of our mountain rivers SKAGIT RIVER

Don't miss out on the first day!
