Signs Now
What a great way to treat your company
employees! A day out on the River and what a day it was! We started out in the
morning down river working on our casting techniques. Troy surprised everyone
with hooking a big Chinook (King) Salmon as he stood his ground this giant
managed to strip every inch of line from his reel. We later moved locations and
with everyone having caught on to bottom bouncing it was only mere minutes until
we had our first Sockeye landed. We had a little rain but that didn't discourage
anyone as the fish were being landed left and right. David H. was right on the
mark when it came to picking off his Sockeye. Everyone went home with their
Sockeye limit and Tracey even managed to find a little green friend. Special
thanks to Tom, Troy and David for making this all a very memorable experience.
We look forward to many more years of fish stories.

"The Boyz from Lloyd"
Back once again for another round of
Sockeye and Sturgeon Fishing. This 3 Day Adventure was incredible to say the
least. Wes (Snipes) or Sniper as we called him could not stop grinning from ear
to ear as he battled both Sockeye and Sturgeon. Gerald (Enforcer) and Jimmy used
every ounce of their muscles to help bring in the 7 foot plus Sturgeon as well
as many more fish in the 4-6 foot range. These guys have been out here many
times in the past years and can't wait until their next fishing adventure. We'll
see you in the fall Boyz.

What a great way to bring family together! Jenn arranged a
fishing day for her brothers Chris and Joe
so that they could catch up and have some laughs. The night before their
adventure Jenn had a long 4 hour drive to get here, but she was sure raring to
go bright and early the next day. The weather was perfect and the boats were
ready to go. Things got held up a little in the morning with Chris and Joe being
about 45 minutes late as they had to come out all the way from Vancouver
(putting gas in the car the night before sometimes works a little better, hey
guys). Once we arrived at our fishing destination on the Fraser River it didn't
take Jenn too long to hook and land a beautiful 29 lb Chinook (King). It was
quite a battle but she stuck with it and landed the Prize Catch of the Day.
Great going Jenn! A little later it was Joe's turn to hook another big one! He
fought it well and managed to bag a nice 21 lb Chinook (King), not quite as big
as his little sister's but still a great fish. All in all the day was a great
success! Jenn was able to catch a bigger Chinook (King) than her brothers
and showed us all that lady luck prevails. We sure can't wait to hear back
about the next family gathering where Jenn I'm sure will be giving her brothers
a hard time. We look forward to having you all back again soon.

THE DIMESTORE
FISHERMEN
What a great crew of
guys to have out Fishing! Grant McCallum of Aqua Ventures invited me to fish
with him for 3 days to try and catch the Dimestore Fishermen their first
Sturgeon ever. The Dimestore Fishermen, Jim Hoey and Devon Funk are as much fun
as anyone can possibly imagine. We tested their arms with some 60 Fraser River
White Sturgeon. We also had along Celebrity,” Big Rod Bender” Ben Fairbrother
from the B.C. Lions. He fought the fish and tested the Quarrow Rods with some
real brute force. Wow! Can he ever pull a mean Anchor (sometimes twice in 10
minutes on two different boats). Chris David was also along from Hinton, Alberta
and is the Western Canadian Representative for Quarrow Performance Rods, as well
as the North American Pro-Staff for the Dimestore Fishermen. He is also the
owner/operator of Alberta’s largest guiding company, Mountain Country
Outfitters. Let’s not forget “Log Jumper” and camera man Brian, man can this guy
tell stories and shoot some great footage, all at the same time too. This was a
first time Sturgeon fishery for everyone, and they all tell me that it
definitely won’t be their last trip they make to British Columbia. All of there
arms are going to need some rest before they come again to Fight the Prehistoric
White Sturgeon. As for winning the largest fish caught, I think the jury is out
and we’ll call it a three way tie for now! Thanks guys and we’ll see you in the
Fall!
