Three
Generations of Fishermen in 1 Boat!
Dave, Ken, Dale and Kyle came fishing for
the weekend in late October. What a family gathering, 3 were from California and
1 from Washington State. We spent the weekend fishing for both Salmon and
Sturgeon. The River was still a little high and Salmon fishing was a little slow
so we spent most of the 2 days targeting Sturgeon. I think we boated some 20 or
more Sturgeon over the 2 day period. It was fun to see the inner family
competition going on over the 2 days as each person was hoping to hook and land
the biggest Sturgeon. What a great opportunity to have everyone together, I'm
sure some lasting family memories were made on this weekend! We look forward to
having you all return again!

Jack
& Jimmy From The Big Apple
Jack & Jimmy were here in November from
New York city to try and catch some trophy Sturgeon. The weather was cold, (to
say the least, hey Guys) sub-artic would be more like it! Needless to say this 4
day fishing adventure was pretty good considering the water temperature dropped
12 degrees Fahrenheit in less than 6 days. They caught some pretty nice Sturgeon
with the largest fish being about 7 foot 6 inches. I think we could have caught
some bigger one's if we didn't have to bury the Bananas on that last day. Thank
goodness that didn't happen on our 1st day out. Everyday fishing with these guys
was new and adventurous as we used Tuna gear and techniques from their
experiences on the East Coast to fish our mighty Sturgeon. I look forward to
having a "smoke and a pancake" with these two again in the Spring of 2004.

2003 Return of The Boy's
From the East
Late October was the setting and the
Fraser and Harrison Rivers were both high and dirty from heavy rainfall in the
prior weeks. Salmon Fishing was going to be a challenge this year so we talked
everybody into doing a little Sturgeon Fishing to start things off. Wow! Did
they ever start things off with a bang, some pretty impressive Sturgeon Guys.
Salmon fishing at the end of day one proved not very productive, but no one lost
faith. These guys have been on lots of fishing trips over the years and know
that's the way it goes some times. On the second day we targeted the Harrison
River and caught a few Coho and Chum Salmon. Definitely nothing to write home
about, but we sure had some great laughs and fun between the 2 boats. We look
forward to the rematch between Patrice's boat and Steve's boat in 2004.

Japanese Police Force and Wally Go
Fishing!
It was a real treat to have some of the Japanese Police Force out fishing while
they were in Vancouver for training. It was also good training for Wally as he
had really never fished much! We started off Sturgeon Fishing and most of the
guys could not believe the power and size of these Freshwater Giants. Most
thought they would be pulled into the water. When it came to picture taking, all
the guys wanted their picture taken while lying down in the boat to show that
the Sturgeon was the same size or bigger then they were. We then moved on to
Salmon fishing where most of the guys caught and released their 1st Salmon.
Wally even managed to catch his Salmon while Fly Fishing for the first time.
What a trip to remember! Great Fishing Guys!
